Sophomore year, I spent a quarter studying abroad in Berlin. It was the first time anyone in my family had gone to Europe, and my first time living in the real world, which meant cooking for myself and riding public transportation to get around.
Over the weeks, I realized that traveling didn't have to be some super-special thing through an academic program or something that I could only do after college. That's what inspired me to work abroad in China for a summer!
I kept a photo blog to document the city and my travels in London, Dresden, and Cyprus (400+ posts). You can check it out here.
